New painting collection in the works - Ripple

I’ve been busy in the studio and am excited about the upcoming release of my latest collection, Ripple.

All my work is about sea swimming and coastal life, and as I often say, each collection acts as a chapter in the ongoing story.

Ripple’s chapter is all about the immediacy of being immersed in swirling water, with the light playing on and below the surface, picking out the colours of the world beneath.

The palette for this collection introduces shell pinks, which bring warmth to the cooler water tones along with hints of shimmering copper.

Paintings in the Ripple collection

The pinks and coppery tones live beneath the waves in the different seaweeds found locally here. When the sun pierces the surface and lands on them, they glow irresistibly.
